We've seen how busy Santora was while dining nearby that it got us curious to see what made them popular. The vibe was a mix of sports bar and pub fare, but we were most interested in their wings. With that, we placed our order for 50 wings and chose to do half mild and half bbq. Threw in a side of onion rings and curly fries to really round out this hefty lunch. The mild was not what we expected as it was more of a hot sauce flavoring vs sauce. The barbecue was a good one though! The wings were pretty crispy and ranged from wings and drums. After eating here, we learned you can customize it so that it's just flats and can request for extra crispy if that's your jam! It also came with a basket of carrots/celery and choice of ranch or blue cheese for dip! The curly fries and onion rings were served in basket portions, but nothing special about them. The good thing is they don't skimp on portions! Overall, we'll be back. Gotta try em extra crispy and we def prefer flats, so we'll give the other flavors a whirl! Until next time!
The funnest place to go to when you want to watch a sports game. Potato wedges, wings are ALL so delicious. It does get busy but the servers are always so attentive and the atmosphere is fun.
BEST wings ever!! Great service. Nikki and Kristie are the best. Always in a good mood and with a smile on their faces. We come here every Saturday and will continue coming. Thank you so much!
First time coming and we will be back. Waitress was great for working multiple tables alone she never failed to make sure she was there to bring us a refill or anything else we needed. Food was great too! Try this place out!
The quintessential wing spot. Feels like an old school bar with awesome wings, incredibly cheap beer and very fast service. A great place to watch football games, lots of tv's. Some of the best wings in the area, their medium is less spicy than some other places but just perfect in my opinion.
It's been 17 years since my first review, and Santora's is still one of my favorite places to go. I'm still a hot wing snob and I still believe Santora's have the best I've ever eaten (find the flavor that matches your taste, I still like extra-hot). Sandwiches and pizza are also as good as ever. I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars... should have done so a long time ago. It's a South OC institution!
Me and the guys ride Ortega highway after doing the 60e 15s 74w then 5n. And always stop here before we go back home to LA. The wings are the bestest. Meaty and well worth every dime. Love this spot. Hidden gem for us dudes
LOVE LOVE LOVE Santora's! We drive from Carlsbad just for the wings. Perfectly cooked, crisped and sauced. It's such a comfortable atmosphere, half the restaurant is a bar and half is a restaurant. Eating here, I never feel like I'm in a bar, yet there a perfect amount of buzz to keep it lively. You've just got to come and try these wings. I know everybody likes their wings cooked differently but this is MY favorite way. Crunchy and perfectly sauced. Gotta go, wings are almost here!
